Seoul Hospital
In 1972, Hanyang University Hospital was opened with 1,100 beds on the Seoul campus. The Department of Pediatrics & Adolescent started with the opening of the hospital. Professor Park Jong-Moo, who was the first chief professor and chief of the pediatric department, had studied public health at Havard School of Medicine. He introduced the concept of the importance of maternal and child health and opened the first child care counseling office in Korea. From 1979 to 1982, he was the chairman of the Korean Society of Pediatrics. Park led the pediatrics with Prof. Kim Young-Won and Prof. Yoon Hyung-Sun.

After that, Professor Lee Byung-Ho, Professor Kim Ju-Ryong, Professor Lee Young-Sil, Professor Lee Soon-Yong, Professor Lee Heung-Jae, Professor Lee Woo-Gil, Professor Song Young-Chul and Professor Choi Kyu-Jong worked at Hanyang University Pediatrics, but they are now working at other medical schools and hospitals. Professor Lee Keun-Soo was in charge of the digestive system of children since 1977, and Professor Moon Su-Ji was in charge of newborn infant and premature infantry department from 1978 to 2010. Professor Lee Ha-Baek was responsible for pediatric allergies and respiratory diseases from 1982 to 2014. Professor Lee Keun-Soo served as the second chief professor from 1983 to 1988, and Professor Park Jong-Moo moved to the position of hospital president. Professor Lee Keun-Soo has worked in the hospital since 1977 and has been active in the field of pediatric digestive medicine at the time of the expansion of the domestic Pediatrics & Adolescent department.

Professor Lee Hang, the third chief professor, worked as a director of pediatric hematology and oncology at the University of Chicago Medical School in 1984, and moved to Hanyang University where he was responsible for pediatric hematology.

Guri Hospital
In 1995, Hanyang University Guri Hospital (450 beds) was opened in Guri City, Gyeonggi Province, and the Department of Pediatrics & Adolescent was expanded. Professor Yeom Myoung-Geol, who once had worked at Gyeongsang University Hospital, was in charge of the pediatric cardiology and neurology, Professor Kim Chang-Ryul, who had completed his post-doctoral training in neonatology at Brown University, was responsible for the neonatology, Professor Oh Jae-Won of the Johns Hopkins University had completed allergy pediatric allergy and respiratory medicine.

Professor Yeom Myung-gul served as the head of the Pediatrics & Adolescent department of Guri Hospital from 1995 to 2003. Professor Kim Chang-Ryul served as the second Pediatrics & Adolescent department chief from 2003 to 2007. Professor Oh Jae-Won is the third director of Pediatrics & Adolescent. Professor Lee Se-min, who majored in endocrinology in 2006, was appointed as clinical assistant professor of endocrinology department. Professor Moon Jinhwa has been working as a clinical neurologist since 2010 and has been active in research.
