Dermatology

Department of Dermatology conducts clinical consultations and research in 2 affiliated hospitals of Hanyang University Medical School, Seoul and Guri Hospital. The department consists of 5 professors, 2 full-time doctors, and 12 residents. In the field of educational activities, lectures and clinical practice of dermatology for undergraduate students of medical school are conducted. Graduate courses were also opened, leading to more in-depth dermatology research courses for graduate students in masters and Ph.D programs. In addition, dermatology residents are selected every year for the dermatology fellowship training course; up to now, more than 100 fellows have been produced, and masters and PhDs are steadily being produced. The department is actively participating in presenting academic research and cases in the annual spring and fall dermatological conferences held in Korea. The department is also actively involved in various divisional conferences such as society for a medical mycology, K-TOE, Skin cancer in Koreans, The Korean Society for Psoriasis, the Korean Society for contact dermatitis and skin allergy, the Society of Cosmetic Scientists of Korea and the international academic symposiums such as international society of dermatology, US and Europe dermatological associations.
