Department of Pharmacology consists of 4 full-time professors, 2 research professors, 4 assistants and several graduates and research specialists. Lectures offered are for department of medicine, for department of nursing science, pharmacology part in systematic lectures for department of medicine, 32 major subjects for graduates and major subjects for department of new drug development in graduate program.
Research areas focus on drug metabolism and cell signaling in the field of molecular pharmacology, clinical pharmacokinetics in clinical pharmacology, therapeutic drug monitoring, new drug development and genetic impacts of pharmacokinetics. Also research on neuropharmacology is concentrating on pathophysiology and treatment of Parkinson disease while main research area for toxicology/applied pharmacology is oxygen free radical reaction of toxicity inducing substance.
