Our department has three full-time professors and their main field of research is neuroscience and bioinformatics. All faculty members can offer students physiological knowledge as basic medical science such as principles of human body homeostasis mechanism in normal condition. Furthermore students can apply principles of physiology through PBL and clinical medicine lectures, having foundations for becoming medical specialists with full understanding of pathophysiology. Main research facilities are extracellular recording system for neurophysiology, patch clamp system, image analyzing system and high-performance clustering computer to process mass biological data and to analyze information. With 2nd usage in nation of polygraph in 1970 for ECG clinical training, the Department is continuing the history of innovation in clinical training such as utilizing computer simulation programs for neuron cell studies to improve understanding of electrophysiology starting from 2008. Also students as a team can conduct animal testing from designing to result presentation on their own in order to learn basic principles of physiology from 2011.
