02 Background, vision, and management system of MESH
Biggest center size and state-of-the-art facility
Opened in 2012, MESH(Medical Education & Simulation Center for Hanyang University, College of Medicine) occupies approximately 2,215㎡ of laboratory space including state-of-the-art facility and environment. Our integrative education program focuses on systematically organizing simple clinical skills, clinical performance evaluation and problem-based learning by providing an efficient educational environment.
Room for CPX/OSCE practice, assessment and PBL allows students to learn clinical skills and performance-based assessments effectively. WIth web-based feedback system which was implemented first in Korea, students can receive appropriate feedback for their results.
Raising clinical competence by simulation-based education
MESH provides simulation-based education under virtual clinical situation scenarios by using various simulators such as simple model, skill practice model/simulator, high-fidelity body simulator. Students can prepare for situations happening in actual medical field and be ready to react effectively and promptly through emergency patients safety training.
Also Skill Lab helps students repeat their training for specific partial skills and gain their experience. These simulators are offered not only to medical students but also to graduates, medical professionals such as doctors, nurses, paramedics and even non-professionals.
