Department of Medical Humanities and Ethics consists of one full-time professor, graduate student and staff member. Since medical science is based on humanity, we aim to study it using method for the humanities and sociology and to produce medical professionals in the field of Medical Humanities and Ethics. Majors we offer are <Philosophy of Medicine>, <History of Medicine>, <Medicine and Literature>, <Biomedical Ethics>, <Ethics in Research> and <Medical Communication>. <Philosophy of Medicine> approaches various subjects in medicine and heath using philosophical method. <History of Medicine> investigates history and development of medicine and health comparing with present medical science and discusses major medicall subjects in the history. <Medicine and Literature> understands various subjects in medicine and health through the perspective of literature. <Biomedical Ethics> focuses on ethical issues of medicine, health and biology and <Ethics in Research> focuses on ethical issues that can happen during medical and biological research.
