현재 한양대학교 의과대학 응급의학교실의 조교수로 재직 중인 신현구 교수는 한양대학교 의과대학을 졸업하고 한양대학교에서 응급의학 박사학위를 취득하였다.
주요 연구분야는 중환자의학, 소생의학, 체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타분석 등이며 Resuscitation, Scientific Report 등 국제 학술지에 주요 저자로서 여러 논문을 발표한 바 있다.
