한양대학교 의과대학을 졸업하고 동 대학원에서 석사 및 박사학위를 취득 하였다.
현재 한양대학교 의과대학 교수로 재직 중이며 이비인후과 영역 중 두경부외과학 전공으로 한양대학교 구리병원 이비인후과에서 두경부외과 진료를 시행하고 있다.
