현재 한양대학교 의과대학의 교수로 재직 중인 홍상모 교수는 한양대학교 의과대학을 졸업하고
한양대학교에서 의학 박사학위를 취득하였다.
주요 진료 분야는 당뇨병과 골다공증 등 내분비 대사 질환이며 주요 연구 분야는 대사 질환과 연관된 역학연구로
European Heart Journal 등 국내외 학술지에 30여 편의 논문을 발표한 바 있다.
